Her poems appear in various anthologies, most recently, Hand Luggage Only, short-listed and prize-winning poems of the 2007 International Sonnet Competition, and, Buzz, Templar Press 2008.

Formerly editor of the crafts council's magazine, Crafts, she has worked freelance for twenty years; her numerous essays, articles and reviews on contemporary visual art and craft have appeared in journals, broadsheets and gallery publications. She has curated national touring exhibitions including, Textures of Memory: the poetics of cloth; Bodyscape:Caroline Broadhead and Surfacing.

She has reviewed for Radio 4's arts programmes, Kaleidoscope and Front Row.

For over ten years she has devised and run writing workshops in a range of contexts — schools, U3A, residential courses for The Arvon Foundation — and is currently Associate Tutor on the MA in Creative and Life Writing, Goldsmiths, University of London, where she teaches the fiction option.

Living in London, she is a member of the Clink Street Writers' Group, sometimes reads her poems at The Troubadour and, with poet Jane Kirwan, runs a regular Poetry Reading Group. She's working on her fourth novel, Broken Threads, and working towards a collection of poems, provisionally entitled, At The Depot For Lost Hats.
