British SCBWI's 2nd Conference
for Writers and Illustrators

This year, we have a magical line-up of award-winning authors, illustrators, editors, agents and other publishing professionals — led by author keynote Meg Rosoff and illustrator keynote Gillian McClure (Pictured right and below left, respectively).
There will be one-on-one meetings with editors, art directors and literary agents, workshops on everything from archetypal fiction to
character development; and on the fringe — our critique meet, an open portfolio exhibition, a say it loud and proud wall,
and exciting new competitions. Plus of course, opportunities to meet other writers and illustrators!
Our speakers this year are: Meg Rosoff, Gillian McClure, Cliff McNish, Fiona Dunbar, Paula Metcalf, Tiffany Leeson (Egmont), Julia Churchill (Greenhouse Literary Agency), Sue Eves, Alison Baverstock, Pamela Johnson, John Shelley, Steve Hartley, PLUS an industry panel featuring a literary agent, editors and art directors from the Caroline Sheldon Literary Agency, Catnip, 
Walker, Little Tiger Press and Egmont
... And for our after dinner entertainment at Saturday's gala supper, we have Philip Ardagh, probably the funniest bearded author in the world.
