Benjamin Scott is a writer and creative writing teacher. He is passionate about great writing - especially great writing for children.

His young adult novel, The Summoning of Freiya Rolandson, earned an Honorary Mention in the SCBWI Undiscovered Voices competition in 2010. He has been a reviewer for the specialist children's book magazine, Carousel, since 2008.

Benjamin is currently the Assistant Regional Advisor for the British Isles. Before that, he was the regional network co-ordinator for the Central East region.

In 2003, he co-authored a job-hunting guide for graduates, Turn Your Degree into a Career (How To Books). He edited an anthology of short stories called Undercurrents (Gatehouse Press) in 2008.

His creative writing work includes work?shops ?at the Writers' Summer School at Swanwick in Derbyshire.
